WHAT CURRENCIES CAN I BE INVOICED IN? HOW IS FX HANDLED?

GBP by default. EUR or USD on request, locked at proposal stage. We do not absorb FX risk on multi-month projects.

Available currencies

  • GBP — default for all invoices
  • EUR — available on request, locked on the proposal
  • USD — available on request, locked on the proposal

How the rate is set

The exchange rate is fixed on the date of the signed proposal using the Bank of England mid-market closing rate. Subsequent milestone invoices use the same locked rate, regardless of FX movement.

What happens if the currency moves significantly

For projects running longer than six months, an FX collar of ±5% applies. Outside that range, we re-quote the remaining milestones at the new prevailing rate, with notice. This has happened twice in studio history.

Other currencies

For clients invoicing in JPY, AUD, CAD, or SGD, we can issue in the local currency through our payment partner at the prevailing mid-market rate plus a 0.4% conversion fee. Specify at proposal stage.
