Full IP transfers to you on final payment. No license-back, no studio-rights-to-display without explicit permission.

Full transfer on final payment

On final payment, all intellectual property in the delivered work transfers to you, worldwide, in perpetuity, including:

  • Copyright in all delivered files and source files
  • Rights to modify, distribute, sub-license, and resell
  • The right to credit or not credit the studio
  • The right to publish or keep the work private

What we retain

  • The right to keep an internal archive copy for legal and quality records
  • The right to display the work in our portfolio only with your written permission, requested per project, never assumed

What was never ours to transfer

  • Third-party licensed assets (fonts, stock) — those licenses are issued to you directly where possible
  • Open-source components — these stay under their original licenses
  • Pre-existing studio frameworks and tooling — these are licensed to you for use in the delivered work but not for resale as standalone tools

Source files vs final files

This is different from IP. See Do I get source files.
