Yes. Xylora Studios assists clients in identifying, refining, and documenting their target audiences as an upfront phase of creative and digital engagements.
Audience definition sits within our Creative and Operations & Client Services departments, ensuring creative choices and technical architectures are built around validated user behaviours rather than internal assumptions.
How Audience Definition is Delivered
Audience definition is not delivered as an abstract exercise. It is tied directly to an active project—such as a brand identity, a website rebuild, or a product rollout. We do not run open-ended marketing theory sessions; we produce clear, usable profiles that inform technical specifications, copy tone, and visual direction.
Depending on how you engage the studio, audience definition occurs in one of two ways:
1. Package Engagements: If you book a fixed-scope service from the packages page, audience profiling follows a standardised intake module. You supply historical customer details and market context, and the Creative team maps primary and secondary user groups within the set parameters of that package. 2. Bespoke Projects: For custom scopes, audience discovery is scoped into the initial sprint. This includes guided workshops, existing data audits, and persona development covering user motivations, technical habits, and purchasing triggers.
The Delivery Sequence
Defining an audience follows four operational steps:
1. Data Intake: You provide raw background data through our onboarding forms. This includes historical sales data, customer support themes, analytics exports, and details of existing competitor overlap. 2. Discovery Alignment: Operations & Client Services schedules a structured discovery session held during working hours (Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 17:00 GMT). We review your commercial goals, sales cycles, and user pain points. 3. Profile Synthesis: The Creative department drafts user personas and audience segments. If the scope includes user journeys, the Technology department reviews these profiles to verify technical feasibility and navigation architecture. 4. Sign-off: You receive an Audience Definition Document detailing primary and secondary personas, core motivations, barriers to conversion, and voice-and-tone guidance. Once approved, this document serves as the benchmark for subsequent design and development stages.
What You Must Supply
We require concrete source material rather than hypothetical goals. To begin, you must provide:
* Commercial context: Details on who currently buys from you, your average deal size or transaction value, and your current retention patterns. * Customer feedback: Anecdotal or recorded feedback, recurring questions submitted to your support channels, or common objections heard during sales conversations. * Market constraints: Geographic focus, technical limitations of your audience (for example, low mobile literacy or strict corporate firewall settings), and known direct competitors. * Designated point of contact: A single decision-maker authorised to approve the final audience documentation.
Turnaround and Timings
Initial enquiries submitted via the Ask Xylo chat on this portal receive a response within our 24-hour target. Bespoke proposals that incorporate audience definition sprints are delivered within 48 hours of receiving a complete brief.
Audience profiling typically takes between three to seven working days from the initial discovery workshop, depending on the volume of customer data supplied and the complexity of your market. All workshops and review milestones operate strictly within our studio hours of Monday to Thursday, 09:00 to 17:00 GMT.
If you were referred to the studio by an existing client or partner, confirm your referral status at the point of initial briefing. Referred clients typically receive a 10% to 30% discount, which is applied directly to the quote, while your referrer earns commission through our ambassador programme.
Failure Points and Scope Adjustments
* Broad or Vague Inputs: Defining your audience as "everyone" or setting broad demographic brackets (such as "adults aged 18–65") halts progress. We will require you to narrow the focus to realistic commercial buyers before moving forward. * Mid-Project Realignments: Once audience documentation is approved, it locks the baseline for downstream copy, design, and development. Requesting audience adjustments after wireframes, brand assets, or technical builds have commenced requires a formal change request and additional budget. Deposits are non-refundable once your production slot is held. Before work begins, sums not yet earned are refunded pro rata; after work begins, completed work and booked time are charged. Defects are fixed free of charge within the acceptance window. The full terms are on the Refund Policy page of the main site. * Absence of Real Data: If you are an early-stage venture without customer data, we build assumptions based on direct competitor benchmarking. However, you must explicitly sign off on those assumptions as baseline hypotheses.
