HOW DO WE COMMUNICATE DURING A PROJECT?

One channel per project, one weekly written update, one synchronous call per milestone. Slack is not standard.

The communication contract

Every project gets:

  • One channel. Either email or a private project board. You pick at kick-off.
  • One weekly update. Written, sent Thursday by 17:00 GMT. Covers what shipped, what is in progress, what is blocked.
  • One synchronous call per milestone. 30–45 minutes. Booked at least 48 hours ahead.
  • One point of contact. A single project lead. You do not get passed around.

What we don't do

  • Slack as the primary channel (too noisy, hard to audit)
  • WhatsApp for project work
  • Daily standups
  • Ad-hoc calls without an agenda

Response windows

  • Project messages: within one business day
  • Quote requests: within one business day
  • Final-week launch issues: within four business hours during the operating window
