DO YOU RUN A PROJECT POST-MORTEM AFTER LAUNCH?

Yes, for any project over six weeks. 45-minute call, shared document of what went well, what did not, and what we would change.

When a post-mortem happens

Every project of six weeks or longer closes with a post-mortem call, scheduled two to four weeks after launch — long enough that real-world signal is in.

The format

  • 45 minutes, recorded with your permission
  • One project lead from our side, your decision-maker on yours
  • A shared document filled in live with three columns: What worked, What did not, What we would change

What we do with it

  • Internal lessons go into our process notes (anonymised across the team)
  • Cross-cutting issues become policy changes for the studio
  • If anything systemic affected your project, you get a written follow-up with what we are doing about it

What it is not

  • A sales pitch for the next project
  • A scope-creep workshop
  • A defensive exercise — we own our mistakes in writing
